Wisconsin Log Cabin for Sale with Hunting Land - Pembine Dunbar Beecher Marinette County

Pembine Dunbar Beecher Marinette County
Wisconsin Log Cabin for Sale with Hunting Land

This extraordinary Wisconsin log cabin for sale is nestled in the middle of a beautifully wooded seventy acre tract of Wisconsin hunting land. Located near the shores of Lily Lake in the Pembine, Dunbar, Beecher area of Marinette County, this restored and updated 1937 outpost cabin is ready for turnkey enjoyment.

Deer hunters will appreciate the three ready to use deer blinds. Whitetail move through the property from nearby farms to the west and the north and down to Lily Lake for reliable water. To the east, the bottomlands of Cole Creek also provide water and sheltered cover. Scrapes, rubs, trails and beds are seen throughout the property. Grouse, wild turkey and small game are common in these woodlands.

This Wisconsin log cabin for sale is situated on two acres of land exempt from the Managed Forest Land (MFL) restrictions that apply to structures built on MFL property. This gives the current owner, and the next owner, the best of both worlds: the ability to add on and/or build an additional structure, and the benefit of very low property taxes on the remaining sixty-eight acres of woodlands.

The 70 acres on which the cabin sits is accessed from near the end of the quiet dead-end road that wraps around Lily Lake. Its woodlands are a balanced mix of Maple, Popple, Spruce, Cedar, Hemlock and Norway Pine with many 100 year old White Pines studded throughout the property. Two small meadows (one in front of the cabin and one sheltered between two granite ridges) provide a sunny contrast to this densely wooded land. Granite ridges and rolling topography is representative of the Dunbar, Pembine, Beecher area of Marinette County; this property has both features in abundance.

Here's a note from the Seller about the history of this Marinette County log cabin:

"It was brought to my attention in early 2004 that this cabin was going to be destroyed. At that time it sat across the road from Lily Lake on the west side of Lily Lake Road. I met the original owner before he passed and he told me that the cabin was made with Jack Pine and was one of many that were built there in a campground on Lily Lake Road in the Township of Dunbar back the summer of 1937.
In the fall of 2004 I had the cabin moved from its original location about one mile to the hill top of a 70 acre hunting property I owned across from Lily Lake. The roof system has been totally rebuilt, with all the variations from our local trees including Cedar and Popple. The loft is Red Pine. All of the various woods, both old and new, come together nicely."

This 70 acres and off-grid cabin for sale is the ideal property for anyone that wants to hunt the Wisconsin seasons and also have the property be available for year round recreation.

A well traveled, private driveway leads to the totally secluded, private cabin from the paved dead-end road. Trails cut wide enough for ATVing meander throughout the property. This is a fantastic acreage for hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

During the summer, enjoy lake access and swimming at the nearby Lily Lake beach and boat launch. During the winter, ice fishing is popular on Lilly lake. Access to Marinette Counties 100's of miles of ATV and UTV trails is riding distance from the property, but far enough away to not affect the serenity and quiet of the property.

12 Foot Falls and 18 Foot Falls on the Pike River, both located in Twelve Foot Falls County Park, are just down the road from this listing. Overall, the area just to the west from the property is one of the largest areas of Marinette Counties thousands of acres for forest lands.

An easy 90 minute drive north from Green Bay gets you to this Whitetail Dreams Real Estate listing.
